Metodu je kao i samu traku patentirao dr. Kenzo Kase sedamdesetih godina pro\u0161log stolje\u0107a. U radu sa pacijentima otkrio je kako dodirom- pritiskom ili nategom tkiva uspijeva smanjiti bol i pove\u010dati funkcionalnost odre\u0111enog dijela tijela, ali nije nalazio na\u010dina da &#8220;svoje ruke po\u0161alje s njima ku\u0107i&#8221;. Zato je po\u010deo smi\u0161ljati i s vremenom osmislio kinesio tex- tanku elasti\u010dnu pamu\u010dnu traku s ljepilom sli\u010dnim ljepilu za flastere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Ovisno o tome kako se traka re\u017ee (o \u0161irini trake) i lijepi (ja\u010dini natega), mo\u017eemo djelovati povr\u0161inski- na ko\u017eu i potko\u017eno tkivo, malo dublje- na podru\u010dje fascija ili jo\u0161 dublje na same mi\u0161i\u0107e kojima mo\u017eemo, ovisno o smjeru natega, &#8220;dati ideju&#8221; da reagiraju \u010dvr\u0161\u0107e i br\u017ee ili pak da se malo opuste.
